How to edit and cancel reservations in CoverManager
Tutorial showing the steps to edit or cancel a reservation in CoverManager, including modifying the assigned table and changing the status.
Steps to edit a reservation:
Access to the reserve:
- From the table plan: Click on the table assigned to the reservation to be edited.
- From the reservation list: Locate the reservation in the list and click on the “Edit reservation” button.
Data modification:
- Edit reservation information as needed (time, number of guests, etc.).
- To change the assigned table:
- Click on the “Table” button located in the reservation details section.
- In the table plan, click on the current table to deselect it.
- Select the new table by clicking on it.
- Confirm changes:
- Click on “Validate” to save the changes.
- Optional: Click on “Validate and notify customer” to send a notification to the customer with the changes made.
Steps to cancel a booking:
Booking access:
- From the table plan: Click on the table assigned to the reservation you wish to cancel.
- From the reservation list: Locate the reservation in the list and click on it.
Status change:
- From the pop-up menu: Select the “Cancel” option.
- From the booking details:
- In the “Status” section, select “Canceled” from the drop-down menu.
- Click “Validate” to save the changes.
- Optional: Click on “Validate and notify customer” to send a notification to the customer informing about the cancellation.
Note:
- Upon validation and notification, the customer will receive an email with updated reservation information.
- The “Move” option in the reservation list allows you to quickly change the assigned table by dragging the reservation to the new table on the map.
